Ivy is in love with retired doctor Carl Anderson, but Carl doesn't seem to be interested in taking their relationship further.
After a visit to a resort and another fight, Carl invites Ivy on a trip with him to Tulsa. When the town is struck by a tornado, their travel plans take a drastic turn.
Rerouted to Missouri, Ivy meets a handsome truck driver, Dan, and soon, Ivy and Carl will need to face the problems in their relationship.
Can they find happiness together, or have they yet to meet The One?
