Priory of the Forgotten Saint: The Emily Canton Story - Paperback

Widowed twice, and left with two daughters, George Canton is forced to borrow more money than he can repay. Luckily, the fortune of a deceased aunt sets him on a journey of great fortune. Logan, the holder of the inescapable debt, refuses to allow George to leave the country without collateral. The only asset George would be sure to return for is his daughter.

Cruelly and quickly, Emily Canton is left with a psychopath residing in an ancient priory possessed by unnatural secrets.

Logan may have the face of an angel, but his mind is demonically shadowed. Twisted and callous, he ignores Emily for the most part, until she brazenly disregards his one rule. When she descends the stairs to his sanctuary in the catacombs, Logan is prepared to make her suffer for the defiance. Oddly enough, Emily emits the uncanny ability to reach the soul, behind the cobalt eyes, residing in darkness.

Betrayed by her father, and confined to the priory, Emily discovers what the stone walls have hidden. Gripped by the shackles of terror, each night is filled with phantom voices, footsteps, and apparitions.

Eventually, sanctuary is found in Logan's promise to keep her safe, even through unconventional methods. That safety leans into compassion once Emily discovers she is the water to his fire. When Logan's prestigious profession is revealed the mystery deepens. Consequently, that knowledge awakens a new sense of purpose in the young woman.

Aware of the insanity that haunts Logan's memory, Emily seeks to support his noble intentions. Still, there is the matter of her father's return, entities in the priory, and madness to cure. Emily Canton is unprepared for what would occur, how much she would endure, or the underworld she would discover. Mostly, she was unaware of how far she would go to quench the fire that raged inside a man layered by chaos.
