Savio is a financial advisor with a background in economics. Savio has completed his chartered accountancy, certified public accounting and certified internal auditor examinations. He is a graduate in Commerce & Economics from the Bombay University and an alumnus of St. Stanislaus. Savio also has a Masters' in Economics and a Doctorate in Strategic Studies. He has worked in the finance field on projects in over 27 cities in India, and in Armenia, UK, Australia, USA, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kenya. Savio lives in Kuwait with his wife Mallika (also a finance professional) and advises a diversified family managed group. Savio is also an FIDE registered and rated chess player. He participated in the World Seniors Chess Championships in Aqui Terme, Italy in 2015
