Peter Keating is a narrative journalist whose wide-ranging stories about politics, history and finance have been featured in publications such as GQ, Mother Jones, National Geographic and Politico. He has written four national columns, including "Numbers" for ESPN, where he was part of teams that won three National Magazine Awards. He was a founding member of ESPN's Investigative Unit, where his longform projects included pieces that exposed for the first time how the NFL dealt with brain injuries. Keating has co-hosted the Underdogs podcast since 2022, and is the author of Dingers! A Short History of the Long Ball, a biography of the home run.
