"Utterly charming . . . clever and kind." -2025 Utah Book Awards
This collection of contemporary Christmas stories includes a novella, Poor As I Am, and eight short stories.
In Poor As I Am (a novella) two grad students meet in a story of five Christmas Eves. Will the money he doesn't have or the money she doesn't want prevent their happiness? Or does love conquer all, especially at Christmas?
Eight short stories all have something to do with Christmas, and each is heart-warming in its own way. Two eleven-year-old detectives investigate a Christmas mystery. A boy's art leads to big trouble on Christmas. Two childhood friends, home from university for the holidays, learn each other's secrets. A girl in a reindeer costume craves a Christmas kiss from Santa. An old man visits the last surviving chicken in his coop on Christmas. And more.
Winner of a 2024 Bronze Quill Award.
