People, Places and Dogs -- Columns from the Casa Grande Dispatch - Paperback

People, Places and Dogs is a collection of columns published in the Casa Grande Dispatch, 2013-2021. They take on their subjects with insight, humor and a human touch. The people include a city judge who performed a wedding for skydivers, from two miles in the air. A homeless man who died nameless. A retired governor listed in the phone book. In Places, you're taken to a Greyhound bus stop where people believe a better life lies in the road ahead. Alice headlines Dogs. She ran off and sparked a frantic hunt by her many friends. The author's own dogs, many rescued from the street, share the spotlight. A final section, titled Loose Ends, covers matters that didn't fit in the first three. It is, in part, the humor section. You read about the zen of washing dishes, rating your colonoscopy and Turtle the lost tortoise.
