Early one morning, Stafford assumes the care of a desperately ill man who soon dies. From a preventable condition, and due to a delayed diagnosis. Troubled, he investigates the clinic involved. He casts a wide net, probes where he's not wanted, and before long discovers other disturbing cases. But his search comes with a painful price - resurrected memories of his brother which he cannot ignore. Haunted, Stafford won't drop his pursuit.

Digging deeper, he contacts too many people in high places, and rattles cages. Suddenly, threats surface, and Stafford catches the eye of the KBI when his search re-ignites a stagnant political investigation. Targeted, he scrambles to save his family from the crosshairs, but is it too late?
