Good parents are often overwhelmed with feelings of inadequacy or failure, and feel unable to accept God's mercy in their daily lives. In turn, they struggle to understand how and when to show God's mercy to their children, swinging between showing mercy too much or too little. In fact, the more we learn about how and why God shows mercy to us, the more we grow in confidence when we give (or withhold) mercy to our children. We also grow to rest in God's mercy as we give our best efforts to him and let him shape the results as he wills.Parenting with Mercy is appropriate for new parents or seasoned parents alike.
