Emma Rudderford's life is on temporary hold. While going through a nasty divorce she finds herself homeless. She breaks policy by camping out in the empty office of the vice president. When Mr. Brockman, the new V. P. shows up early the night before his official start date, he doesn't wake her but the next morning she realizes what happen. She fears he'll fire her and that he holds her dreams in his hands despite her physical attraction to her new boss.

Colin Brockman is ambitious and determined to succeed in his new position.
