What do you get when you combine a hip-hop pioneer with a folky, punky veteran rocker and two classically trained multi-instrumentalists? You get a musical experience that transcends music. Evolution Revolution is The Pacifists of Fury's third album. It was released in September of 2012. Their first two albums continue to touch hearts. Their first two albums were recorded at Shack Studio in Sussex, N.J. by legendary producer/engineer Dwayne "D²" Sumal. D² has worked with the likes of Kid Rock, Ron Wood, Busta Rhymes, Naughty By Nature, and Ziggy Marley just to name a few. This time around, D2 handed the reigns over to rising star Raymond "Luge" Cornelison. Luge is a welcome member to the Shack Studio family and Hear the Light Records, where he wears many hats including sound engineer, producer, lighting engineer, and the occasional fedora. Not to worry...D2 is still rattling around the old Shack. These days he is focusing on his role as drummer/percussionist for The Fury. The P.O.F. consists of four very different people who were drawn together from diverse musical backgrounds to create a sound like no other. All three albums combine traditional instruments such as stand-up bass, violin, trumpet, pennywhistle, flute, and guitars against a backdrop of sampled beats and driving percussion. This unlikely combination of musicians and instruments has created something that's far greater than the sum of it's parts. For The P.O.F. music is just one part of the equation. The other part of the equation is using their music to do as much good as possible. The P.O.F's live shows are ongoing food drives that are gaining strength steadily. In addition, The P.O.F. donate 10% of their pay to local food banks. They happily perform at a steady stream of benefits. They also perform at clubs and theaters throughout the Tri-State area. So get with the plan and grab a can and come see what the buzz is all about! And remember The P.O.F.'s mantra...FOOD - FEED - FED! You can't argue with that. Here's who they are : Sam Magill (guitar and vocals) Dwayne "D²" Sumal (drums, percussion, beats and vocals) Stacy Joergle (bass, trumpet, pennywhistle and vocals) Jeremy Stevens (bass, violin, guitars, mandolin and vocals) Raymond "Luge" Cornelison (lights, beats, and loops) Jason Belits (live sound) Rich Malmberg (harmonica and vocals) All Three Albums Now Available!
