Thus began a four-year, family adventure for the author and her family when her husband's military assignment took them to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This story gives the perspective of adjusting to a new culture, experiencing the changes of Desert Shield, and surviving the days and nights of Desert Storm. This story is presented through the journal lenses of the author, her sister and her mother.
