She holds a doctorate in Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto and maintains multiple professional licenses including Davis Dyslexia Program Facilitator, Davis Autism Approach Facilitator/Coach, and Traumatic Incident Reduction Facilitator. She is a certified member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists.
As founding president of the Davis Dyslexia and Autism Facilitators' Association of Canada, Dodge Smith has received recognition including the Canada Volunteer Award Certificate of Honour and the Canada 125 Award. She resides in Oakville, Ontario.
