Orthodoxy Unmasked: Or All Is Not Gold That Glitters (1829) - Paperback

Orthodoxy Unmasked: Or All Is Not Gold That Glitters is a book written by George Washington Banks in 1829. The book is a critique of organized religion, particularly the Christian faith, and challenges the traditional beliefs and practices of the church. Banks argues that many of the religious teachings and practices are based on superstition and are not supported by reason or evidence. He also questions the authority of the church and its leaders. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which addresses a different aspect of organized religion. Banks uses various literary devices, including satire and irony, to make his arguments. The book was considered controversial at the time of its publication and was met with both praise and criticism. However, it is now regarded as an important work in the history of religious criticism and free thought. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
