ON: Reflections on Life, Love and Loss is a moving collection of contemporary poetry that invites readers into one woman's lifelong journey of discovery, resilience, heartbreak, healing, and hope.

Organized into three powerful sections, Life, Love, and Loss, this deeply reflective collection traces the emotional landscape of a life fully lived. From the innocence of childhood and the awakening of first love to the complexities of marriage, motherhood, trauma, personal transformation, aging, and grief, each poem captures moments that are at once deeply personal and strikingly universal.

Drawing upon decades of lived experience as well as a career helping others navigate depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress, Psychologist Rima Armogida, Ph.D., writes with remarkable honesty, compassion, and insight. Her poems explore not only the beauty of nature and human connection, but also the difficult realities of betrayal, loneliness, war, illness, loss, and the quiet courage required to move forward. Throughout the collection, moments of pain are balanced by resilience, humor, wisdom, and an enduring belief that every season of life carries meaning.

Rather than offering simple answers, ON: Reflections on Life, Love and Loss encourages readers to pause, reflect, and discover their own stories within its pages. The poems acknowledge that every life follows a unique path while reminding us that our deepest emotions often connect us more than they separate us.

Perfect for readers of contemporary literary poetry, memoir, and inspirational reflections, this collection speaks especially to those who have experienced life's triumphs and disappointments, and who continue to seek beauty, purpose, and hope with every passing year. Rich in imagery, emotional depth, and psychological understanding, these poems invite readers to return again and again, finding new meaning with each reading.

Thought-provoking, heartfelt, and beautifully crafted, ON: Reflections on Life, Love and Loss is a celebration of resilience, compassion, and the extraordinary grace found in embracing every chapter of the human experience.

Armogida, Rima: - I was born in New York City and raised in upstate New York and Long Island. A hippie in the late '60s, I experienced the emotional and political turmoil of the Vietnam War. I graduated college with a degree in Psychology with my four-year-old daughter and husband standing next to me. I pursued a business career for about 20 years, returning to Graduate School and becoming a Clinical Psychologist at the age of 50. Working with clients with chronic and severe mental illness in both community and VA settings informed many of the themes in my poetry. However, poetry has been a part of me since my early teens. In this collection, I offer a personally candid, but ultimately hopeful perspective on a life of 77 years. Married for 56 years, I have been graced with a wonderful family and close life-long friends. I am at my best in the forest. Horses have always been a part of my life as have dogs and cats. We live in beautiful Northern California where the mountains and lakes of this area keep my soul alive and well.
