✦ COLLECTOR'S HARDCOVER EDITION WITH GILT EDGES FEATURING MARITIME MOTIFS

The Odyssey tells the story of the hero Odysseus and his return to his homeland of Ithaca after the fall of Troy.

Like the Iliad, it was composed in hexameter verse and incorporates numerous folk tales and legends that have been adapted and woven into the epic narrative. Thus, while the central theme of the Iliad is Achilles' quest for revenge and its consequences in the war, in The Odyssey recounts the hero's journey home with masterful artistry, delighting readers through a rich tapestry of unforgettable adventures.

Homero: -

According to tradition, the Greek poet Homer (approximately 9th-8th centuries BCE) was the author of the Iliad and the Odyssey, making him one of the most influential writers of all time. Some modern critics, however, argue that Homer was not the true creator of these works, but rather compiled and unified a large number of oral tales that he himself recited. Be that as it may, both poems became the foundation of Greek education and culture during the Classical period, as well as of modern Western literature.
