This book is a collection of research and reflections on the comfort food of ethnic communities in Southern California. The work was done by journalism students in the Media Narrative Project class in the Biola University School of Fine Arts & Communication. Chapters include insights into the foods and cultures of Mexico, Syria, the Philippines, and African American Soul Food communities. The book also includes analysis of comfort food in the Bible and among people of faith, and also explores the psychology and biology of comfort foods. The book is accompanied by the podcast series, "Tiny Bites," available on Spotify.
