From Barney to b-ball and beyond...
Larry Rifkin's life experience is like none other. He never worked in a major media center, yet he helped save a TV show that is well known in homes with kids. Televised women's basketball was a rarity when he took it on. Rifkin took women's basketball from obscurity to stardom and successfully navigated changing technology through several decades of broadcasting.
In this compelling career memoir, Rifkin shares with readers how he became known for several groundbreaking television shows. Telling his complete story of hard-won recognition is Rifkin's personal way of giving back to the community after success. By sharing an insider's perspective on what it's like inside the media, Rifkin hopes to challenge and inspire those interested in similar careers.
Woven throughout is Rifkin's true love of family and home, along with his zeal for creativity, media history, and his audience.
