Recorded in Topanga, California and across the homes of the artists involved, the album unfolds through an extraordinary density of acoustic material: bells, bowls, ceramics, chimes, cymbals, bass drum, sakara, surdo, tom, gongs of every provenance (chao, cup, Indonesian, sun, symphonic), metal and wooden keyboards, synthesizers, plant leaf bundles and fronds of bamboo, eucalyptus and palm, rattles, shakers, voice, whistles, and Niño's own sound design.
