New Evangelization: Starting Anew from Christ - Paperback

Pope John Paul II, guided by inspiration, called for a new evangelization with a new Pentecost and a new springtime. This new evangelization, beyond band-aid solutions or addressing external elements, entails a renewal of the foundations in the path of the early Church- with a rekindling by the fire of the Holy Spirit and a return to the original kerygma, "Jesus is Lord." It is a renewal of our foundation of adoration of and friendship with Christ, but articulated for our times. This book seeks to renew evangelization by starting anew from Christ. Part I describes the Christ-centered preparation required for evangelization: sanctifying culture; forging a christocentric vision of man; bridging faith and science in evolution; finding a theological mentor; and sanctification for ministry. Part II describes the trajectory of a renewed evangelization: beginning with love of Christ's Church; highlighting the central role of lay mission; evangelizing in the path of Christ; adoration through a cosmic vision of the liturgy; and preaching Christ in the Word. It culminates with a chapter on "Mary, Morning Star of the New Evangelization."
