Nero Book 4 & 5 Combo: Wolf in a Concrete Jungle - Paperback

Ever since the angst-ridden teen Mike Nero acquired the power of lycanthropy, he has clashed with the street gangs of Buffalo, New York. But the threat escalates when the two most savage gangs in the city, the State Boys and the Red Dragons, decide to take the fight directly to him! Discovering his true identity, the gangs attack his school and even his own home to slaughter the monster in their midst. Worst of all is when the two gangs go to war with each other for hegemony over the entire city, and the young werewolf -- along with numerous innocent civilians -- are caught in the middle of the bloody onslaught.

As if the gangs weren't enough, Nero must also deal with threats from the Buffalo police, the violent costumed vigilante known as the Martial Eagle, and a former cop mutated into monstrous form who calls himself the Reptilian. And after running that gauntlet, he must face his toughest opponent to date: K-Bar, the deadly leader of the State Boys, in a very personal battle over the Queen City and the girl that they both love. This latest entry in the Nero series will set the bar for the rest of the young lycanthrope's saga going forward as he struggles against his inner emotional anguish to become the hero he is destined to be years in the future.

This extra-sized edition combines the epic storyline running through Book 4 and Book 5 into a single volume! As a bonus you also get the two Nero Universe spin-off tales from the latter two books, along with the two preview stories for the upcoming horror series Vermin. And to give you more bang for your extra bucks spent, you get an exclusive here: a first published look at the Nero novelette "It Came Out of the Sky," which will later be published standalone.
