Heather K. Hardy is a professor of English and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Colorado State University. She is the coeditor of Dictionary of the Alabama Language. Janine Scancarelli received her PhD in linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Much of her published work has dealt with the Cherokee language.
