Dr. Wayne Z. Burkhead Jr. is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder disorders, and being special, in Dallas, Texas. He has lectured on an international level designed medical devices, and authored book chapters, scientific papers, and a Textbook, Rotator Cuff Disorders. As a youth, he fancied himself an artist but, ended up sculpting bones. He also fancied himself a musician but lacked talent. He never fancied himself as a doctor, especially a surgeon. Despite being diagnosed with a fatal illness, he has continued the work he was called to do.
