My March To Timbuctoo (1915) - Paperback

My March To Timbuctoo is a memoir written by General Joffre, a French military commander who led an expedition to Timbuctoo in 1914. The book describes Joffre's journey through the Sahara Desert, his encounters with the Tuareg people, and the challenges that his troops faced in the harsh desert environment. Joffre also provides insights into the political and economic conditions of West Africa at the time, as well as the strategic importance of controlling Timbuctoo. The book is a fascinating account of a little-known episode in French colonial history, and provides a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs of early 20th-century military expeditions. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
