Exploring my maternal pain was both tortuous and exhilarating. I felt every emotion under the sun from shame to fear to anger to pride to love to compassion to enlightenment.

I did a deep dive into my soul's darkness, also known as my shadow, to heal from my childhood trauma. I unearthed a vast supply of self-love, self-compassion and self-belief. My shamanic gifts were also "hidden" in there. I had no idea what a treasure-trove my shadow actually is.
