The book includes information about many places in the Pacific northwest. There is no explicit sex nor are there graphic murder scenes. The emphasis is on a great mystery with human interest features such as characters with real life problems, accurate law enforcement procedures, and humor.

She is a member of Mystery Writers of America. G. A. is a retired financial advisor and insurance broker. She volunteers for the Curry County Sheriff's Office and serves on the board of directors for the Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative. G. A. is married to Bruce Cockerham who retired after thirty years in law enforcement and is the technical consultant for her murder mysteries.
