Cross, Lisa: - Lisa Cross taught drafting & architecture in industrial arts programs for a number of years before going into industry where she held a variety of positions related to mechanical engineering, industrial equipment maintenance, and supervision. She also taught the construction trades and later briefly worked in the construction industry as a field manager andjob coordinator. She was known for her expertise, attention to details, and problem-solving skills in several mechanical fields. Her willingness to dig deep and get her hands dirty made her an asset. Today she is retired, and currently spends her time cooking, baking bread and various styles of pizza, and enjoying nature and her musical interests.Thompson, Rachel C.: - Rachel Thompson, former freelance writer, wrote and cartooned for magazines and newspapers from the Lehigh Valley, Pa., before taking up the motorhome life. She now resides deep inside a national forest in Florida. She became a serious writer after first surviving a near-death motor vehicle accident in 2003 after more than 25 years in the construction industry.
