Dragon maid searches land on Kobayashi and Tohru, and this box holds that whole first run on disc, subtitled and dubbed, with the extras.
The show
A programmer makes a promise while drunk and wakes up with a dragon working as her maid. The comedy comes from domestic logistics, not from the dragons.
Viewers who return to it call it comfort watching, and the studio behind it built a reputation for exactly that kind of warmth before the fire that gutted it.
Dub or sub
Both are on the discs. The English dub divides people sharply, so anyone with a preference already knows which way they will go, and neither choice is missing here.
Synopsis
What happens when a drunken promise leads to living with a dragon? That's Miss Kobayashi's new reality when Tohru appears in her life. With a maid-slash-dragon in her home, she's experiencing a whole new level of domestic bliss! But the dragons don't stop there. On a mission to find Tohru appears Kanna, a little dragon with a big attitude.
Before she knows it, Kobayashi's got a house full of dragons-one serving tail and the other serving serious moe! Together, they live side-by-side with only the occasional disaster... well, maybe. But nothing beats coming home to the warm welcome of a dragon maid!
