In 1999, visionary Alaska Natives started a one-year discipleship college for Alaska Natives. The "Alaska Leadership College" served five students in Western Alaska. They took classes in villages, learned ministry, and practiced discipleship. A year later, Dr. Keith Hamilton was called as president of a college with no finances, faculty, facilities, or students.
This 25th anniversary memorial book chronicles Alaska Christian College's Miracle on Royal Place. Starting with nothing, God has blessed us with much. ACC has grown from a one-year to a two-year college, while adding students and faculty, along with general education studies and two associate degree tracks.
We are grateful for all God has done and look forward to the next quarter-century as a place where grace is expressed regularly, the Word of God is communicated, and students are prepared for lives of character, service, and learning.
