Sings Goin' Home (Digitally Remastered)

Country vocalist Danny Michaels fronted one of Southern California’s hottest live bands, The Rebel Playboys at the legendary George’s Roundup in Long Beach California, a club that featured a solid gold Lincoln Continental parked outside. The club was quite popular in the 1950’s and early 1960’s and Danny Michaels & The Rebel Playboys were a featured attraction. Presented here is an ultra album from the mid to late 1960’s featuring Danny singing an interesting selection of country standards. The album’s centerpiece is “Goin’ Home,” a song composed by Johnny Wakely for the album, featuring strings, a flute and the fabulous guitar work of James Burton. All selections have been newly remastered.
