Beyond advocacy, Eduardo connects with young audiences through powerful discussions on personal identity and self-discovery, encouraging them to embrace their stories and find their place in the world.Barajas, Evelyn: - Evelyn Barajas is a first-generation Latina and self-taught artist, raised in Lynwood, California. She is the illustrator of Maya, Princess of Tortillas and has collaborated with nonprofits, small businesses, and community leaders, sharing her art through a variety of projects. Inspired by her Mexican heritage, Oaxacan indigenous roots, and first-gen experiences, Evelyn creates vibrant art that highlights her community, celebrates diversity, and uplifts young readers. She lives in Fresno, California, with her husband and two daughters. When she's not teaching or creating, she enjoys hot yoga, morning reads, and time with family and friends.
