Betsey and Carolyn started designing patterns together while they were co-owners of Quilted Heart, a quilt shop in Bolivar, Missouri.Nixon, Carolyn: - From birth, Carolyn Nixon was surrounded by handmade quilts and their makings. A primitive quilting frame hung from the ceiling over her bed. Her earliest memories are filled with the clicking of needle against thimble and the rhythmic motion of her mother's hand, rocking back and forth as she stitched together quilt blocks.
