Author Sandra Martin Parham is executive director of the Meharry Medical College Library and Archives. She has been in library administration for over 35 years. Her publications include Barbara C. Jordan: Selected Speeches and The African Art Collection: Texas Southern University. Parham's goal in presenting this series of photographs and narratives is to showcase the vitality at the core of Meharry's existence and what Meharrians call "the spirit of this place called Meharry."
