Cherico, John A.: - Reverend John Cherico is a licensed pastor with 32 years of experience, serving congregations in Illinois, North Dakota, New York, and Minnesota. In 2018, led by the Lord, he joined Good News Global as a jail chaplain and has served at Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis for seven years. This facility serves Minnesota's largest county, with about 1.3 million residents and an inmate capacity of 600 to 700. Chaplain John provides religious resources and counseling to inmates of various faiths. Despite his Yankee-loving friends, he was a fan of Willie Mays. In 1978, he had a born-again transformation, later graduating from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1983. John was married for over 40 years to his wife, Deb, who passed away in 2016; this book is dedicated to her memory. He has four adult children and five grandchildren.
