Dave is one of the most gifted & popular mainstream pianists, who has played and recorded with Woody Herman, Charlie Ventura, Gene Krupa, Stan Getz, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Buddy Rich, Ruby Braff and extensively with Bobby Hackett. Performed with Louis Armstrong and Scott Hamilton. In most recent years Dave has primarily performed in solo appearances, as exemplified on this new release, recorded live May 18, 1981. Dave knows all the tunes and is considered by the producer of this 2008 release to be one of the most prestigious of the many pianists of the past 60 years.
