Boy Harsher singer Jae Matthews delivers an impressive reinterpretation of Buzz Kull's cult classic "Man On The Beat". The song, on Heartworm Press' limited edition Baby Blue vinyl 12", reinterprets the underground favorite with a cool, more cinematic edge. On the B-side, L.A. duo Spike Hellis deliver an extended remix that builds the track into a dancefloor-ready sonic storm of ecstatic synths and rhythms. Known as the singer of the dark electronic project Boy Harsher, Matthews shows a different side here: she captures the nocturnal flair of the original, while at the same time giving the song her unmistakable touch.
