2010 release. Hailing from Nepal, Manose is a master of the bamboo flute, gifted with the ability to tap into the instrument's haunting sound and wrap the listener in an atmosphere of healing and bliss. Suskera features three extended-length raags from Manose, each performed using a different scale. "Raag Yaman" is the most dynamic of the three, featuring the dancing bamboo flute tones in a ballet of devotion and meditation. "Raag Bhagreshri" is a lighter, more calming piece with sensual undertones. The final track, "Raag Jog," is the softest of the bunch, with tones that are performed slowly and deliberately. In each case, the flute is solo, with some minor drone sound in the background. Great for meditation or creating an authentic environment for yoga practice.
