Malice

Alec Baldwin (The Hunt for Red October, The Departed, Glengarry Glen Ross, Beetlejuice) plays Dr. Jed Hill, the kind of surgeon you want in an emergency confident, brilliant, and maybe just a little too self-assured. When he rents a room from seemingly happy couple Andy and Tracy, played by Bill Pullman (Independence Day, While You Were Sleeping, Spaceballs) and Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge!, The Others, Eyes Wide Shut), his presence sets off a chain of deception, betrayal, and sinister secrets that unravel in ways no one sees coming. This Hitchcockian thriller, directed by Harold Becker (Sea of Love, Mercury Rising), masterfully blends psychological tension with razor-sharp dialogue. Rounding out the cast are Anne Bancroft (The Graduate, The Miracle Worker, Great Expectations), George C. Scott (Patton, Dr. Strangelove, The Hospital), Peter Gallagher (American Beauty, While You Were Sleeping), Bebe Neuwirth (TV's Cheers, Jumanji, The Faculty), and Gwyneth Paltrow (Shakespeare in Love, Se7en, Iron Man) in an early role.
