I know my husband will come for me.

 

I've been taken by his adversary, Maddox, a man that's wanted my husband dead for years. Now I'm in locked in a house in the countryside, having no idea where my location is. I've tried to run several times-but I never get far.

 

Maddox hands me the phone-and it's Hades. "I'm coming for you, sweetheart. Just be patient a little longer." Despite the tears on my face and the emotion in my voice, I manage to sound normal when I say, "I can't wait to see you..." I hide my pain. I hide my terror. I do whatever I can to make this less unbearable for him.

 

I know he'll come for me. I know the depth of his love is bottomless. But I fear the price he'll pay for my freedom. I may walk out of here-but I'm afraid I'll never see him again.
