A typical southern California teenager, Reinee grew up in the 1950s experiencing threats of war, practicing bomb drills in elementary school. Later, in the '60s, during her teens, the civil rights movement and war with Vietnam greatly disturbed her.
But on March 25, 1967, sixteen-year-old Reinee Pasarow died. Clinically dead for almost an hour and then brought back to life by a determined family doctor, Reinee's Near-Death Experience (NDE) is remarkable for the clarity and detail of the event--and because of its powerful spiritual message of hope and healing. Those who have had NDEs tend not to fear death, but look forward to returning to the place they feel is their true "home." This is part of the essential message of this unforgettable memoir called Love Will Lead Me Home.
Reinee E. Pasarow grew up in southern California, and attended UCLA. With husband Michael, she managed a successful food brokerage business. But a debilitating multiple sclerosis progressed throughout her life. At 16, she went into anaphylactic shock and was pronounced dead. Her spiritual awakening was a direct result of this near-death experience. She went on to share her experience with live audiences and on television throughout the 1980s and '90s, including ABC's 20/20, before NDEs were widely known. She was also featured in many magazine articles and books. She passed away peacefully at home in California in 2020, at 69.
