Lost in the Amazon - Paperback

In 'Lost in the Amazon, ' follow the heart-wrenching yet inspiring journey of four young siblings who defied overwhelming odds after a tragic plane crash in the heart of the Colombian Amazon. On May 1, 2023, the Cessna carrying Magdalena Mucutuy and her children met with disaster, leaving the resilient eldest child, Lesly, with an unbearable yet noble task: to protect her younger siblings, Soleiny, Tien, and baby Cristin. For 40 days, they crafted shelters from the wilderness and foraged for food, showcasing remarkable resourcefulness and a bond forged in adversity. Meanwhile, a massive search operation, 'Operation Hope, ' combined the tenacity of the Colombian military and the unparalleled expertise of nearly 80 Indigenous trackers who understood the intricate landscape better than anyone else. Ultimately, on June 9, 2023, this astonishing story of resilience culminates in a moment of joy and survival as the children are found alive. This book not only narrates their harrowing journey but also celebrates the incredible strength of family, community collaboration, and the enduring human spirit in the face of disaster.
