The already skittish Elizabeth Richmond (Eleanor Parker) was being driven to the breaking point by a series of threatening letters signed by an unknown “Lizzie.” She turns to a compassionate therapist (Richard Boone), who finds that his new patient is manifesting two other distinct personalities-the slatternly Lizzie and the stalwart Beth-but can he repair her fractured psyche?
