Jeanne Scholes was born in the small community of Granby, Missouri. She was surrounded by three rambunctious brouthers and a loving sister. She never felt special. But her first grade teacher, Mrs. McNeely, went out of her way to make Jeanne feel special. Because of the attention given by this teacher, Jeanne decided to become a teacher. She attended College of the Ozarks for her associate degree. From there she went to Drury College in Springfield, Missouri for her bachelors degree. She completed her graduate work from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has taught for many years. Through love of reading children's books, she decided to step into the writing arena. This is her first book.
