The beautiful auditory experience was created during the pandemic, from which the musicians merged with an album that paints a vivid musical canvas of our collective journey through unprecedented times. Collaborating remotely, the collective discovered a novel way of working that felt strangely fitting for the times -a fusion of vulnerability and innovation. Vocals, synths, and programming became the pillars, forming the backbone of a sound that is both intimate and expansive. As the world stood still, Lindy-Fay Hella (Wardruna) & Dei Farne found solace in crafting melodies that encapsulate the emotions of isolation. As a result, 'Islet' encompasses a variety of styles, from synthwave electronic music, to dark pop and soothing, warm melodies.
