Rei Sólas, Myria: - Myria Rei Sόlas RP, CPT, MC: AT, is a registered psychotherapist, certified play therapist, and registered art therapist in Peterborough, Ontario. She maintains a private practice seeing individual clients of all ages, as well as couples and families. As a part of her practice, she runs mindfulness-based art therapy groups, and arts-based retreats for women. As a practicing artist, Myria-using a multitude of mediums and techniques including mixed media, weaving, felting, and jewellery making-shows her work on a regular basis. Myria lives by the belief that art and creativity help keep us whole and offer new ways of thinking and seeing things, being well, and thriving. As a joint founder, board member, and volunteer at a local art hive called Creating Space, Myria is working hard to support and promote exploration, expression, and well-being through the use of the arts, and art as therapy. Myria believes in the power of telling one's story and the positive effects of being heard and seen with compassion, acceptance, and understanding.
