The route to a diagnosis of Lewy body dementia can be long and challenging, and living with the condition or supporting a family member leaves many people feeling isolated and misunderstood.
This groundbreaking book sets out practical guidance for people with Lewy body dementia, their families and carers, providing valuable information for finding acceptance and support. Alongside details about why the condition can be difficult to diagnose, it explains common treatments and physical and behavioural symptoms. There are honest and personal accounts from people living with Lewy body dementia and those caring for them, providing valuable insight into how the condition typically progresses and how to find effective support. Chapters are easy to navigate allowing readers to address concerns when they arise and 'points to ponder' at the end of each chapter encourage conversation and reflection. Whether you are someone with Lewy body dementia looking for effective strategies to try, or a carer wanting to build deeper understanding and gain insight into the caregiving experience, this guide is the companion you need.Languages:EnglishPublisher:Jessica Kingsley PublishersISBN-13:9781805012009ISBN-10:1805012002UPC:9781805012009Book Category:Health & FitnessBook Subcategory:Diseases & ConditionsBook Topic:Alzheimer's & Dementia, Nervous System (Incl.
