(Rom. 6:16-23 NASB) Many Christians have no understanding of what it truly means to walk by the spirit. They don't know how to be truly transformed in order to develop a spiritual mind. If we learn to recognize our fleshly nature as compared to our spirit, we can learn to choose more effectively which nature to listen to and which nature to reject We need to make it a habit of examining what we're looking at, what we're listening to, what we're doing, what we're saying and what we're thinking or imagining to find out what our mine set is. By examining the fruit, you will know if your mind is set on the flesh or the spirit. (Gal.5:19-25) This is a tool you can use for the rest of your life. It will help to sharpen your spiritual focus so you can see more clearly. The more you take God's Word to heart and learn to do it His way the easier it will be to overcome sin and become a slave to righteousness, which is truly freedom. What was once vague can become black and white because our spiritual nature and fleshly nature become easier to identify. God gives power to our spirit so we can learn to reject sin and embrace His righteousness. We need to wake up and learn to conform to your new identity in Christ. We should all know what it truly means to be in Christ and what it means to be born again with a spirit that's regenerated, freed from sin and without blemish.
