But, losing Lee Johnson to Lincoln causes Pearson to abandon his law enforcement days and head further west. Leaving his remaining deputies in Arizona, the former marshal takes up horse ranching near San Diego. Bill Pearson is essentially a happily married rancher until the past comes calling.
