Texas Ranger William McKiever is returning to headquarters to turn in his badge to begin a new life as a cattle rancher. The captain of the detachment is going to offer him one last assignment, but the captain is worried, knowing a killer lurks-a gunman who suddenly appears, kills, then disappears.
