Laila Aurora Wright is a divorced woman who lives with her 2 older siblings (Daniel and Thomas) widowed mother (Eleanor) on the family farm in Pennsylvania. The father, deceased Judge Henry Wright, built the farm as a refuge from the city and it's unwelcomed climate. She relocated there after her divorce from her still living husband, Francis 'Frank' Weiner. She and Frank have no children, save their golden retriever named Simon.When Laila was 18, she joined the U.S. Army and became a Ranger. Meanwhile a group of domestic terrorists was planning to utilize a faux police vehicle to invade the memorial service and gun down as many police as they could.It was Laila who discovered the plot and ended the threat, much to the chagrin of her superior officers.
