A Lady of Chance

That little number called Angel Face (Norma Shearer) is sure a cutie. No wonder men lose their hearts to her... just before they lose their wallets! Draped in Adrian gowns and exuding saucy charm, Shearer makes her last silent film a fun one, portraying a tough cookie who falls among thieves even shadier than she is, cons them at their own grifts and marries what she thinks is a wealthy young son of the South. (She got the young and South parts right.) But love conquers all, and she opts for penniless wedded bliss ' until her old partners in crime show up and threaten to spill the beans. But they're still no match for Angel Face.
